Terms of Service
Last updated 26 August 2026
Acceptance and scope
These terms govern your use of cavebarber.net and the appointments, products, applications, and services you obtain from The Cave Barbershop ("The Cave", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing the website, submitting information, making a booking, or purchasing or using a service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or services.
Additional conditions shown or communicated during a booking, purchase, application, offer, or promotion form part of these terms. For that specific transaction, the more specific condition controls if there is a conflict. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled but does not reduce any right or protection available to us under these terms.
Bookings, deposits, and cancellations
A requested appointment is subject to availability and is confirmed only when confirmation is issued by us or our booking provider. You must provide complete and accurate information and have authority to make a booking for anyone else. You are responsible for checking the service, barber, date, time, location, price, and any disclosed conditions before confirming.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must follow the process and notice period shown during booking. Any disclosed deposit, prepayment, cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, or no-show condition forms part of the booking. To the fullest extent permitted by law, a disclosed deposit or fee may be retained or charged where the applicable condition is not met.
We may decline, shorten, stop, cancel, or reschedule an appointment because of lateness, inaccurate or incomplete information, non-payment, health or safety concerns, threatening or abusive conduct, suspected fraud, operational disruption, staff availability, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where the law requires a remedy, that remedy will remain available.
Prices and payments
Website prices, availability, and descriptions are general information and may be changed, withdrawn, or corrected before a booking or purchase is confirmed. The final price may depend on the service, hair length, time, products, condition, and complexity. We will aim to identify a material price difference before work begins.
You must pay all confirmed charges using an accepted method. Payments, refunds, and fraud checks may be handled by third-party providers under their own terms. Except where required by law or expressly agreed, completed services, used products, deposits, and properly charged cancellation or no-show fees are not refundable merely because you change your mind.
Service safety and your responsibilities
You must arrive on time, behave respectfully, supervise any child or dependent in your care, and follow reasonable safety and aftercare instructions. Before a service starts, you must disclose allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, medications, recent treatments, chemical processes, previous reactions, damaged hair or skin, and any other fact that could reasonably affect suitability or safety.
We may require a consultation or test, recommend a different service, ask for appropriate consent, or decline or stop a service where we reasonably consider it unsuitable or unsafe. You remain responsible for deciding whether to proceed after receiving information and for seeking medical advice where appropriate. Our team does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
You should inspect the result and raise a concern as soon as reasonably possible. You must give us a reasonable opportunity to assess and, where appropriate, correct an issue before arranging a third-party correction or incurring additional cost.
Results, products, and promotions
Hair and grooming results vary according to condition, history, texture, maintenance, home care, and other individual factors. Photographs, descriptions, colour references, and examples are illustrative and do not guarantee an identical result, duration, or suitability.
You must follow product instructions, warnings, patch-test guidance, and aftercare advice. We are not responsible for loss caused by misuse, use contrary to instructions, an undisclosed condition, or a reaction that could not reasonably have been predicted or prevented.
Products, vouchers, packages, offers, and promotions are subject to availability and any conditions disclosed at the time. Unless stated otherwise, they may not be combined, exchanged for cash, transferred, or applied retrospectively. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
Recruitment and applications
An application, interview, trial, discussion, or website statement is not an offer or promise of employment or engagement. You must provide accurate information and have the right to share any portfolio, reference, or other material submitted. We may verify information where lawful, pause or end a process, retain recruitment records as described in our Privacy Policy, and choose not to provide reasons for a decision except where required by law.
Acceptable website use
You may use the website only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You must not interfere with the site or its security; probe or attempt unauthorised access; introduce malicious code; overload services; bypass protections; misuse forms or booking systems; make false, speculative, or fraudulent bookings; impersonate another person; harvest data; scrape or copy substantial parts of the site; or use content in a way that infringes our rights or the rights of others.
We may block, restrict, suspend, or terminate access without notice where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the website, our business, another person, or our legal rights.
Content and intellectual property
The website and its names, branding, logos, text, graphics, photographs, video, audio, design, data, and software are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to view the site for personal use. No ownership or other licence is granted.
You may not reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, publish, frame, mirror, sell, license, create derivative works from, train a model on, or commercially exploit site content without prior written permission from the relevant rights holder. You may link to public pages fairly and lawfully, provided the link does not imply endorsement or association.
Privacy, advertising tools, and third parties
Our Privacy Policy forms part of your use of the website and explains our use of cookies, Google services, and the Meta Pixel. Blocking such technologies may affect parts of the site or measurement but does not remove obligations already created by a confirmed booking or purchase.
The website may link to, embed, or depend on services operated by other parties, including booking, payment, hosting, map, analytics, advertising, social media, music, and recruitment providers. We do not control their availability, accuracy, content, security, terms, or privacy practices. Their terms and notices apply to their services, and your use is at your own risk.
Website disclaimers
The website and its content are provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise that the website, booking tools, content, availability, prices, media, or third-party integrations will always be complete, current, accurate, compatible, secure, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may correct errors and change, suspend, or withdraw any feature or content at any time.
Website content is general information, not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for decisions made in reliance on it and for keeping appropriate device, browser, security, and data backups.
Limitation of liability
We will provide services with the care and skill required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any consumer right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Subject to that paragraph and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data; or loss caused by an undisclosed condition, inaccurate information, failure to follow instructions, unauthorised use, a third-party service, or an event outside our reasonable control.
Subject to rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited, our total aggregate liability arising from a particular paid service or product will not exceed the amount you paid us for that service or product. Our total aggregate liability arising solely from free use of the website will not exceed HK$500.
Your responsibility for claims
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you are responsible for loss reasonably suffered by us because of your unlawful website use, material breach of these terms, fraudulent booking, or infringement of another person's rights. You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising directly from that conduct, except to the extent caused by our negligence, breach, or unlawful act.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay, interruption, closure, or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, utility or network failure, epidemic, government action, labour disruption, supplier failure, building access problems, or staff illness. We may reschedule, substitute, suspend, or cancel affected services and will provide any remedy required by law.
Changes
We may update these terms, the website, and available services at any time. The current terms will be posted here with an updated date and apply from publication. A change will not alter a confirmed transaction retrospectively unless required by law, necessary for safety, or agreed with you.
General
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations as part of a business transfer, reorganisation, financing, or service arrangement. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent. No person other than you and us may enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance.
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining terms continue. A delay or failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
These terms, our Privacy Policy, confirmed booking conditions, and any specific written transaction terms form the entire agreement concerning their subject matter and replace earlier statements concerning that subject matter. These terms are governed by Hong Kong law, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right you have under applicable law.
